White Cliffs of Dover

As today was such a beautiful one John and I decided to get on the train and go to Dover to have a walk on the cliffs. We did about 5 miles, the weather was perfect, we heard the skylarks and the sea. It was definately a good decision. We sat on the cliffs and ate our sandwiches, the hooded crows were very interested in my crisps (low fat of course).
I did take some knitting on the train, not Mum's cardi as that would have been much too big, but socks, a pair I've been working on for ages, I keep putting them down. I don't usually suffer from 'second sock syndrome' but I really am with these. Must finish, must finish! Especially as I have just got some gorgeous Natural Dye Studio sock yarn in a lovely soft green that I want to knit up.

On My Needles

Cardigan for my Mum. I'm using Noro Taiyo, the colours are just gorgeous. I need to get this finished by 13th June as that is when I am seeing her next. This is the second Noro stripey cardi, the first one was for me and I used Noro Silk Garden light, it knitted up beautifully, I'll post a picture of my one soon, maybe with the Taiyo one.

This isn't the only thing on my needles but it is what I'm working on at the moment.

My Profile

I have started putting together my profile for my blog. I got to the part about favourite films and books and music and thought Ahh, too many to mention! So I shall add to that over time. However, I have just finished 'The Millenium Trilogy' by Steig Larrson. Loved all three but especially the last one, I was so disappointed when I finished it.

I'm thinking that this blog will mostly be about my knitting and sewing projects. But I hope that other things that happen in my life will end up on here with photos, for example John and I will be going to the Orkneys this summer so I shall pop a few bits on here and a few photos.

First Post.

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet but here goes for posting the first post on my blog. I really don't think that anyone will want to read this but you never know.
