Busy Day Sewing
I've made two new sock kits to go onto Ebay, one in Clarke and Clarke fabric with lovely green gingham check inside and the other one in the Cath Kidston fabric I bought the other day with pink stripe inside. I love them both. Also I have two commissions for baby boy quilts, can't wait to get started on these, I love making baby quilts. My sister wants a tea cosy as her husband set fire to the one she had, maybe he didnt like it! I don't think I have time to go to work!

Very Excited!!
Amazingly, today I sold two sock kits! One of them went on Ebay in the usual way and then I had an email from a lovely lady in Biggleswade via Ebay asking if I could 'Buy It Now' one for her. So I did. I'm thinking that 'Buy It Now' might be better than auction so I've put another one on with both auction and 'Buy It Now' This is with Drops Fabel yarn and the pouch is with Cath Kidston fabric.

Zippy Pouches for Sock Kits
Two more zippy pouches made for sock kits. The pink is Cath Kidston fabric bought at the Cath Kidston factory shop in St Neots. This is a great find, not only fabric but lots of lovely pretty things. I'm not going to use King Cole yarn in these kits, I'm using Drops Fabel instead. This will make them a little more expensive but hopefully worth it. I have sold a few of these on Ebay so here's to a few more. The kits make lovely gifts and it isn't that hard to knit socks. Such a feeling of satisfaction and so cosy and pretty. It's a win, win really.

Shoulder Bags
Elated by having sold my first handmade item on Ebay, the pin cushion and needle case, I thought I'd have another go. I've put the orange bag on today, I love this Amy Butler fabric. The bag is based on a pattern in the Cath Kidston 'Sew' book with my adaptions, it's the third one I have made, I have finally got the strap how I want it to look. Let's see if this one sells too.

Saturday, Must be Make a Bag Day
Finally got round to making the bag on the cover of Cath Kidston book. It was very easy and I added a lining to give it more body. I sewed the buttons on through the strap and bag because I have never done button holes on my sewing machine. I took one look at the button hole foot and thought I would leave it for another time. Anyway as I have given myself the challenge of making all my Christmas presents this year, this bag will go to someone worthy. I have a pair of socks on my knitting needles, a scarf to block and add the fringe to and chutney made. So well on the way.
