A Strange Weekend

I have been knitting lots this weekend. We have been having some wiring done in my sewing conservatory so everything had to be put away. All the furniture has had to be stacked up in the sitting room and there has been lots of noise and lots of dust! I hid in the bedroom all weekend and knitted. Consequently, I have made great progress with my Ishbel and some progress with my sock yarn blanket

Sock Yarn Blanket

Being a knitter of a great many socks, I have ended up with a great many almost finished balls of sock yarn. What better way to use them to to make a blanket. This will be a very long term project. Inspiration came from Shelley's blanket It's a very easy thing to do, the squares go quickly but as they are quite small it will take a while to cover my lap let alone a bed. Anyway a job begun is a job almost done.
